Installation

Windows:
To install your reKon audio VST Editor simply place the .dll file in your VST Plug-Ins folder (typically this is located at C:\\Program Files\Steinberg\VST Plugins\).

Mac:
To install your reKon audio VST Editor simply place the VST bundle file in your VST Plug-Ins folder (typically this is located at Library\Audio\Plugins\VST\).

Make sure your MIDI and audio card are working properly in your host.

Cubase SX Setup Procedure:

1. Be sure to put the plug-in .dll file in your VST Instrument plugins folder.
2. Open Cubase SX.
3. Create a new project.
4. Open your 'VST Instruments' panel and then select the 'reKon™ VST Series Editor' VST in say slot 1.
5. Create a 'MIDI' track. Select this MIDI track. (this will be the MIDI track the VST Series Editor is on).
6. On the I/O properties panel for this MIDI track, assign the MIDI input to the 'VST Series Editor'. Assign the MIDI output to go to the MIDI port (and channel) that your hardware synth is on.
7. Create another 'MIDI track'. Select this track.
8. On the I/O properties panel for this MIDI track, assign the MIDI input to your MIDI keyboard. Assign the MIDI output to go to the MIDI port (and channel) that your hardware synth is on. (this will be the MIDI track to play and record your note/pitch/mod changes to the Waldorf Pulse).
9. Activate the little yellow 'speaker' icons for both MIDI tracks (this allows them to be played even if the track is not selected).
10. Make sure your MIDI and Audio card settings are assigned properly in your 'Setup' dialog.
11. Start tweaking and playing the hardware synth via the VST Series Editor and your MIDI keyboard.

ImageLine FL Studio Setup Procedure:

1. Be sure to put the plug-in .dll file in your VST Instrument plugins folder.
2. Open FruityLoops Studio.
3. Create a new file.
4. From the 'Channels' menu, select 'Add One' and then select the'VST Series Editor' you wish to use.
5. Set the 'Port' number (top right) to the port your hardware synth is on. (Make sure you are setting the MIDI Out port value ('Show MIDI Out Port') from the arrow button drop down at the top left. set the MIDI In port up the same way as you did for the MIDI out.
7. Create another 'MIDI Out' from the 'Channels' menu to handle routing MIDI In from your keyboard to the port you hardware synth is on (same port as above).
8. Make sure your MIDI and Audio card settings are assigned properly in your 'Options' dialog.
9. Start tweaking and playing the hardware synth via the VST Series Editor and your MIDI keyboard.

Mackie Tracktion Setup Procedure:

1. Be sure to put the plug-in .dll file in your VST Instrument plugins folder.
2. Open Tracktion2.
3. Create a new project.
4. From the 'Tracks' button menu, select 'Create New Track'.
5. Select this track and then set the 'Destination Out for This Track' (lower right of screen to the MIDI port and channel the hardware synth is on).
5. Drag the 'New Filter' button (arrow shaped) onto the new track. Select the 'VST Series Editor' you wish to use.
6. Create another track and set it's MIDI inputs and outputs accordingly to connect your MIDI keyboard either into the VST Series Editor or directly to the hardware synth
7. Start tweaking and playing the hardware synth via the VST Series Editor and your MIDI keyboard.

EnergyXT Setup Procedure:

1. Be sure to put the plug-in .dll file in your VST Instrument plugins folder.
2. Open EnergyXT.
3. Right click in the main 'Module' window area and select the VST Series Editor™.
4. Connect the MIDI connectors from the 'Master In' module's MIDI Out to the VST Series Editor's MIDI In.
5. Connect The 'VST Series Editor's Midi Out to the 'Master Out's MIDI In.
6. Make sure your MIDI and Audio card settings are assigned properly in your 'Setup' dialog.
7. Start tweaking and playing the hardware synth via the VST Series Editor and your MIDI keyboard.
